I love, love, love Meryl Streep. I mean, who doesn't? She's played so many different powerful women in film, and is also a powerful, inspirational woman off-camera too. She was featured in the January 2012 issue of Vogue. I don't regularly read magazines but I was getting my hair done and was handed an issue of Vogue and US Weekly...so I chose the lesser of two evils ;)
In the issue she talks about the roles offered for women, about her support for the campaign to open the National Women’s History Museum, and her passion for organic & sustainable living. They also concluded during the course of the interview that she is probably the oldest woman (no nice way of saying that lol) to ever grace the cover of Vogue. You go girl!

So if you only know her from Mamma Mia or Devil Wears Prada, you've got a lot to learn about Ms. Streep ;) Timeless, classic beauty that never fades. Grace and intelligence that never goes out of style. I'm so happy to feature her as our first Remarkable Woman! ♥
Have any suggestions for who we should feature next? Do you have a remarkable woman in your life you'd like to nominate? Let us know on our

Janea
