Romper Room

A couple of weeks ago I went to American Vintage on Ventura Blvd. because they were having a huge Memorial Day Weekend sale. Everything retro & vintage was on sale up to 50% off. Score!

I picked up this funky blue romper to wear to the Grand Prix -

It's got a halter top and handy little pockets on the shorts and I think it's pretty cute, so that's all that matters ;) Must wear lots of sunscreen!

I have been working out a lot, using Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred. I highly recommend if you are looking to shape up fast! I first heard about it through this weight-loss Tumblr and figured if all of these people are getting results then it must be good!  I can honestly say it has been working...when I'm able to use it regularly ;)  It's not an exercise DVD for wimps, that's for sure!

What's your regimen? Any crazy diets or workouts? I'm just Keeping It Simple. ♥

Let Us Turn Up The Beat

Another month, another batch of posts. Sorry for the radio silence. So busy, but I have lots of drafts in queue ;)

So anyway as some of you may know I am getting ready for an awesome birthday getaway to Monterey for another year at Laguna Seca. It is going to be amazing!!  Since I am a bit obsessive, I am already planning my outfits haha.

I have a lot of recent thrifty finds but I am really excited about my new tank and my new shoes:

The tank is printed by COUP, and says "Lettuce Turnip the Beet." Clever, right? It's a unisex screen printed Tri-blend American Apparel tank top, but mine actually runs a bit large. Maybe I could wear a swim suit top under or one of those bandeau things, if I can work out enough for the next month ;)

The shoes...the shoes are my precious. I love them. They are men's shoes by Urban Outfitters and are the "Red" color which is obviously American flag print. I wear a size 10 in women's but these men's size 8 are perfect, if not just a little bit loose. They are awesome and I am getting a lot of awesome compliments on them. Awesome.

I have many pairs of cutoff denim shorts now that summer is here, and jeans are so cheap at thrift stores. Karma Clothing in Hermosa Beach is having a sale on all of their denim for Buy One Get One Free. Goodwill usually sells jeans for $4.99. If you already have one pair of shorts all you have to do is line up your existing shorts with the "new" pants and voila - new shorts!

What are you excited about this summer?? And how should I accessorize? So many questions ;)
